At Fundamental Health we require all participants to book in for a one-on-one Clinical Pilates assessment before attending a one-on-one session, or a class.
Your clinician will take a thorough case history, assess any injuries, and complete several functional tests. Clinical Pilates differs from Pilates because it takes into account an individual’s specific injuries and physical needs, instead of having every person work in the same way.
Our team are all Physiotherapists or Osteopaths so have additional knowledge and training, meaning they are able to assess you and have the knowledge to create Pilates programs that are safe and effective. This is particularly important for anyone with a history of injuries, anyone pregnant, or post partum, as certain exercises may aggravate particular conditions.
This session may not involve any Pilates work. It is important we know your history and injuries so we can provide the most tailored practice for you.
How is Clinical Pilates different to a standard Pilates class at the gym?
