My name is Kat and I’m an osteopath with a deep passion for supporting women’s health across every stage of life. I recently made the big move with my partner from the Gold Coast to Canberra, bringing along my two kids and a whole lot of excitement to pursue my dream of working in a field that truly lights me up. I’m now proud to be part of the amazing team at Fundamental Health, where I’ve found the perfect space to grow, learn, and serve the local community.
My journey into women’s health wasn’t a straight line, it’s been shaped by years of study, lived experience, curiosity, and a desire to offer women the kind of care I believe we all deserve: gentle, personalised, safe, and grounded in the osteopathic principle that the body has its own innate healing capacity. I completed a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathy) and a Masters of Osteopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast, where I developed a strong foundation in holistic healthcare and a clear path of the area I wanted to work in.
As an osteopath, I approach the body as a whole, not just a set of symptoms. I view each person as unique and aim to treat the underlying causes, not just the surface issues. My treatments are gentle, working with the body’s rhythms, tissues, and self-healing mechanisms. I use a combination of ligament balancing, joint articulation, stretching, and soft tissue work, as well as structural techniques when needed. Every session is tailored to what the body needs that day.
My primary focus is on women’s health, including pelvic pain and pre and post-natal support. However, I also enjoy working with a range of other musculoskeletal conditions such as back pain, neck pain, jaw pain (TMJ), and headaches. These areas of interest often intersect, and I’m particularly drawn to the way tension and stress manifest physically, especially in women who are juggling so many roles in their lives.
But hands-on care is only one piece of the puzzle. I’m passionate about helping women understand their bodies, feel more in control of their health, and develop strategies for long-term wellness. This might include movement, breathwork, stress management, or working collaboratively with other health professionals. What I’m most drawn to is being a health advocate for women, someone who walks alongside them, helping them feel grounded and empowered as they navigate their health journey.
Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me out in nature, hiking the nearby trails, mountain biking through the bush, or chasing a wave down the coast when the swell is right. These moments are more than just hobbies, they’re how I recharge. Nature has a powerful way of calming the nervous system, reconnecting me with my body, and reminding me what truly matters. Whether I’m out there with my kids or my beautiful partner, it’s time that fills my cup so I can keep showing up fully for the people I support.
It's nice to meet you,
